It happens to be about a week ago, week ago that REVIVE Radio took the BET Experience by storm! A dynamic multicultural micro-universe is full of music, entertainment and making connections. Each day was a different day, a new experience in store with plentiful. The experience brought together hundreds of fans, leaders, and celebrities to celebrate the culture and highlight Dreaming in Black. That was the focus for the BET Experience this year making it the sixth year June 21- 24, 2018.

Before the concerts, Genius Talks, and all the extravaganza of events the first stop was the BET Casting Call where P.O.C., host of REVIVE Radio seized the opportunity to the road of being a host. Manifesting that they call number 818 soon. The 2018 BETX Live was all the way Live hosted by the two Love and Hip-Hop stars Amara La Negra and Safaree Samuels in the Microsoft Square at L.A. Live. From the look of things, there was no shortage of chemistry between those two. Providing sweet sounds at the intimate Acoustically Speaking was Jussie Smollett, Luke James, and Gallant where they shared what it’s like behind the music hosted by Bigg Tigger. Issa Genius Talk, this year’s Genius Talks was hosted by the outspoken journalist Jemele Hill who spoke with geniuses such as Insecure’s very own Yvonne Orji who spoke about growing up Nigerian, making her way in the entertainment industry, not only herself but other people investing in her dreams and so much more.  One thing that sticks in my mind on this journey of following your dreams is when she talked about how so many people said “NO” but she didn’t allow that to stop her vision. As P.O.C. always says “Its VIEWS vs. VISION”. She is definitely a rising star.

Also spreading knowledge was the king of ATL, T.I., Power’s star Omari Hardwick, and many more. BET definitely provided experience with BLACK GIRLS ROCK DJ’ing booth, rhythm, and reasonings coming from discussions at The Love Healthy Lounge & Wellness Pavilion featuring Melanie Fiona, Megan Good, Brandon T. Jackson, and more. Let’s not forget the burst of energy coming from the crowd cheering for the artists performing on the many stages. Or the appetite satisfying smell coming from the food trucks outside. It was always something going on each day and as soon as the doors opened people started running thru. After getting passed security of course. Being that there were so many people at the BETX 2018 there was always a connection being made. Speaking of connections, it was only right to have a podcast link up on the west coast.

The exhilarating week of events ended with REVIVE Radio linking up with Brunchism podcast, joining Camille as she interviewed P.O.C. for an inspiring, entertaining time filled with laughs. Make sure you check it out and stay tuned because REVIVE Radio may be coming to a city near you soon!
